A couple of days ago, I suddenly thought of an anime I had watched as a child and found it on B-site. So I found it on the B site and started another journey to catch up.
Tsuyoki na Futari” (强気なふたり) by Yumi Yoshimura (Episodes 1-17)
“Tokyo Pig” is adapted from the fantasy literature “Fair, then Partly Piggy” created by children’s literature writer Shiro Yadama. The protagonist Hatakeyama Noriyasu is a third-grade elementary school child, and when I watched this cartoon, I was almost in the first or second grade. As a post-90s generation, I was fortunate to be able to enjoy many excellent animation works at home and abroad on TV. But as a child, understanding is limited. Even if it is a generation of Neon Genesis Evangelion (also known as EVANGELION, EVA, introduced as “Sky Eagle Warrior”), it is just a mech fighting monsters. And “Tokyo Pig” looks at things from the perspective of the protagonist, with many whimsical ideas. Unlike Doraemon who relies on foreign objects to solve problems, Sunny Pig’s superpowers can directly make many of the protagonist’s ideas concrete and become reality. While vividly reflecting the protagonist’s inner thoughts, the conflicts between children’s absurd ideas and the real world and physical laws also make people laugh and think.
Children’s understanding of the world is not perfect and comprehensive. Most of their knowledge of the world comes from the knowledge of the surrounding environment and the precepts and deeds of adults. However, lack of cognition and limited experience tend to simplify the connection and simplify the rules. As a result, there are many thoughts that are ridiculous in the eyes of adults. For example, in the first episode, because the teacher said that the diary should not be shown to others, Hatakeyama used it as an iron law. Therefore, after the diary was peeked by her mother, she angrily wrote the absurd content of “It’s sunny today, sometimes it’s a pig”. However, cartoons are cartoons. Amazingly, this record appeared in reality! Although everyone thought it was normal, Hatakeyama panicked and erased the diary with an eraser. But because of negligence, a pig was left behind. Later the pig stayed and was named “Harebuta”. This is why the Sunny Pig came out.
This anime is full of childishness and reflects in detail the wonderful associations that children make because of their misunderstanding of some things and words. For example, if you get stuck eating a pencil you have to eat eraser shavings to relieve it. The internet information superhighway allows shrunken villains to gallivant to their heart’s content, and the exaggeration and demonisation of fearful things. (In Slumdog Millionaire, the childhood “I” also thought that Colonel Taylor was as omniscient as God, as opposed to the more mature portrayal of Nobita in Doraemon.) You never know what’s going on in a child’s head. (I’m now worried about the mental health of my children in the future, even though I don’t even have a girlfriend T_T)
Children are very simple, or childish, in their thinking. They are always curious about the world, learning to draw patterns from their limited knowledge, understanding the world and making connections between different things. They seem to have endless energy and enthusiasm and are curious and kind to the world.
He who has in himself abundantly the attributes(of the Tao)is like an infant. Poisonous insects will not sting him;fierce beasts will not seize him;birds of prey will not strike him.
(The infant‘s)bones are weak and its sinews soft,but yet its grasp is firm. It knows not yet the union of male and female,and yet its virile member may be excited;——showing the perfection of its physical essence. All day long it will cry without its throat becoming hoarse;——showing the harmony(in its constitution)。
To him by whom this harmony is known,(The secret of)the unchanging(Tao)is shown,And in the knowledge wisdom finds its throne. All life-increasing arts to evil turn;

含德之厚,比于赤子。
毒虫不螫,猛兽不据,攫鸟不搏。骨弱筋柔而握固。

With the growth of experience, the accumulation of knowledge and the deepening of understanding of the world and society. Sometimes boredom and fatigue are inevitable. In many cases, understanding things are labelled and simplified. Thoughts gradually solidified. Because of the accelerated pace of life, many times it is not that I don’t want to pay attention, but I really don’t have much energy. There are also many troubles. It is difficult to have simple happiness as before. Living in the world, it is inevitable to bow to the society, but in the corner of the soul, between work, from time to time, some small things will come up with boundless ideas, all for leisure.

At that time, I was fortunate enough to see the original serial comics in the “Little Star” magazine, and this one was also found in the barrage of station B. It’s just that the craze of Piglet on a sunny day is like a gust of wind. Although it has been popular for a while, for example, there are many stationery with the image of Sunny Pig in the small shops around the school. But soon disappeared. There is even little information about Sunny Piglet on the Internet. Although “Tokyo Pig” animation painting is avant-garde (for example, there are a lot of pictures combining realism and crayon drawing), the music is diverse, such as the transformation song and the awkward dance soundtrack in the middle. But there are really very few data that can be retrieved today. Even with Google search, the video material found is still Bilibili website. Does this also mean that as time goes by, the innocence will gradually fade away?
But everyone has to grow up, we all have to grow up. But we can choose to remain like a child. Not to pretend to be pouting, but to leave a little piece of pure ground in the corner of our hearts, a place to breathe in the midst of our busy lives.
May we go away for half our lives and come back with a little piggy on a sunny day!
Goodwill and curiosity to the world.
Dims the glare, Mixes the dusts.
